Our Islamic Finance Group advises clients on Islamic finance transactions across a number of practice areas, including capital markets, project finance, banking, derivatives and structured finance, funds and taxation.

Our Islamic finance practice covers the traditional Sharia compliant Islamic contracts. We also advise on the development of Islamic financial instruments as well as hybrid Islamic financial products such as parallel salam and sharia compliant securitization.

Our experience includes providing advice and drafting of contracts relating to the major forms of Islamic finance and investment, including murabaha, mudaraba, mu’ajjal, salaam, istis’na, ijara. We are currently advising on the issuance of sukuk (corporate

bonds) in Nigeria.
